Virtual Self-Paced 2 Day Class - Advanced Cell Phone & Connected Vehicle Mapping w/ Nighthawk
A virtual self-paced 2 day class ($600) that a student can complete by watching a pre-recorded 2 day virtual class while completing hands-on practical’s.
Access to virtual class material and recordings for up to 60 days or until completion of class (whichever occurs first).
This class is only open to Law Enforcement, Government Crime Analysts, Prosecutors/District Attorneys, and government criminal investigators.
Hands-on advanced course to train students to analyze and map cellular records, geolocation data, and connected vehicle data using LeadsOnline Nighthawk. Taught by 2 veteran instructors.
Students will work with real data to map and analyze in LeadsOnline Nighthawk and in Google Earth Pro.
Students will also be instructed on making powerful courtroom presentations along with discussing court testimony on geolocation analysis. Connected Vehicles will be discussed.

Part 2 - iOT and Connected Vehicles
Students will be introduced to the world of iOT devices and how the world is connected. Students will be introduced to connected vehicles and how to identify a connected vehicle based on the accessories seen on a vehicle. The kloving site and the Digital DA Forum will be introduced on how to access the sites and become a free member. Additional technology and smart devices will be covered along with vehicle cameras.

Students will continue to learn about Connected Vehicles including electric vehicles and how charging stations can provide evidence. NICB and LoJack will be discussed on what resources and help they can provide to students. Berla will also be briefly discussed and how to determine if a vehicle is supported by Berla. Carfax for Police along with other free resources for vehicles will also be discussed. Smart tires will be discussed on how this new evidence can help investigations.

The Connected Car database will be discussed in length on how to learn about connected cars, identify a connected car, and search warrant template language.

Students will be guided on how to create a case for the Motor Vehicle Digital Data exercise. Students will be guided on how to import AT&T records for a vehicle along with Berla data and LPR data. Students will be shown how to visualize the geolocation data in Nighthawk and how to capture and bookmark evidence. Students will then be given time to work on the Motor Vehicle Digital Data exercise on their own.

Students will be instructed on how to set up the Google Earth Pro settings. Students will then be shown different tools that can be used in Google Earth Pro to search locations, create icons on the map, measure between different locations, and to use the map viewing tools.

Geolocation analysis in Nighthawk will be discussed. How Nighthawk identifies cell site locations and visualizes the geolocation data will be discussed. Tower by provider mapping will be shown on how a student can visualize tower density. Mapping settings and measuring distances will be also discussed.

The raw data will be shown and discussed including T-Mobile Timing Advance, Verizon RTT, and Flock Safety LPR locations. Student will be shown how to export the mapped data into a KMZ file and how to view this data in Google Earth Pro in additional to Nighthawk. Students will then be given time to work on this exercise on their own.
