Virtual Self-Paced Class - Advanced Financial Crimes Investigations
A virtual self-paced 2 day class ($450) that a student can complete by watching a pre-recorded 2 day virtual class while completing hands-on practical’s.
Access to virtual class material and recordings for up to 60 days or until completion of class (whichever occurs first).
This class is only open to Law Enforcement, Government Crime Analysts, Prosecutors/District Attorneys, government criminal investigators, and Banking & Fraud Investigators.
This self-paced virtual 2 day class (up to 60 day access) is designed for Law Enforcement Officers, Police Crime Analysts, Prosecutors, Bank and Fraud Investigators who will learn of current trends in Financial Crimes. Instruction focuses on identifying the type of financial crime along with collecting and preserving evidence. Students will be introduced on using Hi-Tech Investigative Techniques to help identify the offender and bringing the offender to the criminal justice system for a successful prosecution. Students will learn the skills needed to conduct internet-based investigations. The proper extraction and handling of video surveillance and mobile phone data will also be discussed.

Students will be introduced to the crime of Identity Theft. Examples of different types of Identity Theft will be discussed. Different state criminal statutes will be discussed covering the elements needed for this crime. Resources for Law Enforcement and victims of Identity Theft will be discussed. Hi-Tech tips and resources will be discussed on how to identify offenders and collect evidence to prosecute offenders.

Part 3 - Organized Retail Crime & Card Cracking
Organized Retail Crime will be discussed along with state criminal statutes from different states. Card Cracking will then be discussed on what the crime entails and how offenders recruit cooperators with bank accounts. Ways to get the cooperators to identify the masterminds will be discussed along with investigative resources and techniques to identify the offenders. Two card cracking cases will be discussed.
